 Angler Fish                                                                            Midnight Zone

Picture

Let's start off with the Angler fish.  It's appearance is startling with a mouth full of crescent shaped teeth, a coloration of dark brown to gray, a bulge for a
head, and a size of up to 3 feet 3 inches!  It is also pretty darn heavy at up
to 110 pounds!  In order to reproduce, the female Angler fish let's out
pheromones (a kind of scent) to attract a male.  The male permanently latches
on to her stomach, letting the female reproduce at any time or place.  Sadly, the female does not care about its babies and leaves them to die straight from the time she lays her eggs.  Of course, some of them do survive and grow up to start the cycle all over again..
